"MacCase did not participate in the hardshell MacBook cover space due to the inherent flaws with old-school clip-on shells. They were rife with problems, as the many Reddit threads show. They were heavy, prematurely wore out the screen hinges, trapped dirt and heat, abraded the MacBook finish and cracked easily. Our co-molded MacBook cases solve all of these issues. They take the best aspects of poly-carbonate and combine them with the best aspects of TPU. At 4 oz. and 1.5mm, it's there when you need it and invisible when you don't. No more hinge issues. Soft polymer edges seal out dirt without abrading the finish. Cooling vents align precisely with Apple's own. They have been extremely popular with users of the 15.3 and 13.6 MacBook Air, as well as 16-inch MacBook Pro users. When we saw the specs for the MacBook Neo, we knew our co-molded process was the only way to protect it without adding bulk."
