Why This Leather MacBook Sleeve Exists: Designer's Insight

Michael SantoroFounder & Chief Designer, MacCase35 Years of Professional Design Experience
"MacCase has been building leather sleeves for Apple laptops since 2007, longer than anyone else."
"Most leather laptop sleeves aren't leather. They're bonded leather which is ground-up remnants mixed with vinyl, plastic, and glue, pressed into sheets and cut into panels. It feels like plastic when you touch it because it is. Customers paying a premium for leather protection are often getting a material that will crack and peel within two years. "Genuine leather" is not much better. MacCase has been building leather sleeves for Apple laptops since 2007, longer than anyone. Our ethically sourced hides are developed in-house to a proprietary specification: full-grain leather that is both soft and durable, something the industry treats as a contradiction. The precision of the contrast stitching, the air-filled perimeter bumper piping system and the proven, de-loading design is all built to outlast not just your current MacBook, but the ones after it."
