Most of the time is spent confirming the mail (by the way, it is not immediately clear that you need to write to TP for this (confirmation via a link to the mail is also available, but this is some other stage of confirmation)))
The guys position themselves (as I understood from the knowledge base and technical support) as a service aimed at an ordinary user, but my opinion is that without certain knowledge it will be difficult. 10 Gbit is divided between several participants, plus the general highways to Russia are not known how fast. I can't see the load on them. But the server and its data center are clearly not the weak link here.
Powerful processors in Finland are Intel E5-2697A v4, although the FAQ on the website indicates Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2, which is a little worse: they haven't updated the information, or there are both.
Core power according to console sysbench: about 800 events per second. For comparison, on other rented machines I have 566 and 653. On another one, where the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor is 4496, which is noticeably more. But 800 is quite enough, the main thing is that they are stable and do not decrease much from neighboring VPS.
2 cores should be enough for encryption of about 500 Mbps, depending on what methods. Being near Moscow, I tried through already connected VPN Wireguard, VLESS without encryption, and with encryption. In all cases I could get 90 Mbps. Since my tariff allows a maximum of 100 Mbps, you should not expect more. On my other VPNs, such a good result was not obtained, although there was only 1 core, and other countries like the Netherlands.
In general, broadband channels are apparently not something that data centers or server providers manage. I don’t even know who maintains and pays for them. But PQ Hosting does well here and can provide quality in order to choose data centers with a good connection (Tier 2-4). I also think they have enough equipment so that new clients do not take resources from old ones. Sometimes it is necessary to expand capacities, monitor the load. Considering the scale and seriousness of the company, I think that they are doing well with this, although I do not know if they publish information about this anywhere. The end client does not see the total load on the channel, the physical server. Although the expected Internet speed between countries can be roughly estimated using tools like Looking Glass.
Obviously, PQ Hosting also has large corporate customers, so my VPS for 600-1000 rubles per month takes up a very small share there. But the quality obtained is worth the money paid.
Prices for VPS start from 200 rubles. I would not advise taking such a thing, because for such a price we often get overloaded processors and communication channels. In the end, it may not be 1 core, but 25% of the power of one core, especially during peak hours, and instead of 1 Gbit there will be only 20-30 Mbit free to Russia. So it is better to pay a little extra and get good quality. I think that taking into account the price of equipment, electricity, rent and services, 600-1000 rubles per month for them is a very small part of the budget.
Overall, I am happy with everything. I have accumulated some experience working and setting up VPN servers, and now I prefer to have at least 2 cores, 2 GB of memory for this. Although 1 core can handle a channel of about 100 Mbit, the main thing is that it is free.

In the fall of 24th, juggling Internet crutches in the form of free (but unstable and short-lived) VIPI, proxies, browser extensions and other warps got pretty boring. After yet another need to reconfigure gdpi to download a channel from YouTube, I realized the need for my own server to bypass state censorship wishes. The experience was close to zero, so amnesia and one of the hosting mentioned in the description with payment in rubles. Quick selection of a tariff and location, payment, confirmation of phone number and ... a long wait for an email confirming identity (which never arrived)
Created a ticket and activated manually, they sent logins / passwords in notifications. Argentum, the Netherlands. A newbie (that is, me) was unlucky: the speed is less than a megabit, packet loss, lags. After the second ticket, the support team resolved the issue and the service worked as it should. The speeds are not very pleasing +/- 100 Mbit, but the tariff does not have a dedicated channel. So far I am satisfied.
