The Schmidt winery is a small business from Giessen-Lützellinden, founded in 2015.

With a small circulation, Josche’s products stand for a maximum of manual work with the aim of achieving the best possible taste quality.

The aim is to revive a traditional craft and get only the best from the regional apples.

All apples are hand picked and individually inspected.
Each of the products is processed without clarifying agents or other chemical additives.

Mild in taste and rich in aromatic substances with a fruity yet subtle acidity, Josche’s Apfelwein offers everything a traditional cider from Central Hessen must have. Dispensing with clarifying agents and other chemical processes takes time, but preserves the full flavour.

A mixture of apples from all the different trees and varieties creates a well-balanced taste, which comes from the healthy soil in the Giessener Land. The cider – like all products – is produced entirely in Gießen Lützellinden. This applies to fertilisation, bottling and labelling. Of course everything is handmade.

You can find the products in local restaurants and shops.
When ordering online, you can order the cider and apple juice in a resource-saving 10L Bag-in-Box carton.

In the liqueur series there is “Fuel For The Moon” about Cryptocurrencys and can only be purchased with crypto currencies.
