The Mammal Steele OC is a brand-new full-length winter boot with a bold, outdoors-inspired silhouette and the practical protection needed for serious cold-weather use. Designed in Italy, it combines PU nubuck, microfibre suede and nylon with a luxurious faux-fur trim for a rugged look that still feels contemporary and easy to wear.
Steele represents a considerable step forward from Mammal's previous full-length Lucia style. It retains the calf-covering warmth, adjustable front lacing and convenient side zip, but introduces a new waterproof membrane and upgraded mixed-material construction. That makes Steele much more than a deep-winter snow boot.
For the British climate, this added waterproof protection is especially useful. Wear Steele through icy winter weather, then keep reaching for it during wet autumn days and cooler spring conditions when rain, puddles and muddy paths matter more than snow.
Inside, a soft Berber fleece lining, removable felt insole and HeatMX™ insulation rated to -30°C provide dependable warmth, cushioning and comfort when temperatures fall.
When the ground turns slippery, the integrated OC System® retractable ice grips provide extra bite on icy pavements, frosty paths and compacted snow. Flip the cleats out when they are needed, then fold them away again for ordinary surfaces or when moving indoors.
The gusseted YKK® side-entry zip makes this taller boot easier to put on and take off, while the adjustable front laces provide a secure, personalised fit. A second pair of black laces is included, giving you an easy way to change the look.
