Glo Germ Gel - Simulated Germs

Glo GermTM is a substance designed to simulate germs, illustrating the importance of proper hand hygiene and surface cleanliness.
The gel contains microscopic particles that fluoresce bright blue under ultraviolet (UV) light, making them visible to the naked eye. When applied to hands or surfaces, it mimics the spread of germs, helping users visualize contamination.
To use, apply a thin layer to hands like lotion and illuminate with UV light to see coverage. After washing, observe under UV again to check for remaining “germs” and determine the effectiveness of your handwashing.
Transmission of infectious materials can also be simulated. Apply the gel to a few participants in a group and use UV light to see how easily it has spread over the course of an activity.
