It receives email only; it does not provide outbound email sending.\n\nThe site says each incoming message and attachment is encrypted on arrival. ztrash stores ciphertext and a hash of the inbox key, while the browser decrypts mail with the viewing key held by the user. Inbox lifetimes run from 24 hours to one year. Expiry or an owner-initiated burn permanently purges the inbox and its contents. A Tor mirror gives users another way to reach the same inbox.
