Weldsafe Limited was formed in 1982 and our remit was the supply (sales) and servicing of welding, protective clothing (PPE) and associated products. Being the main distributor of ESAB / MUREX welding products and with them being the largest manufacturer of these products in the world it gave us market recognition in the early days.
Over the years we have supplied and serviced the engineering and fabrication industries all over Scotland and beyond with their requirements for welding equipment, gas equipment, welding consumables and PPE / safety supplies.
At present our customer base comprises of the following industries
Shipbuilding & Repair
Oil & Gas Production
Engineering & Fabrication
Power Generation
Educational Faculties
Local Authority Establishments
MOD & Other National Bodies
We have moved premises from Yoker to South Street in Scotstoun, Glasgow which is 6000 square ft. The new premises afford us off road access and excellent yard/parking facilities. We hope to develop caller customer business with our showroom and trade counter option.
Our Service Engineer, Andrew Ligethy has some 20 years service with us (7 years with ESAB) and is widely regarded as second to none within the industry, Andrew also holds a Gas Equipment Inspectors Certificate as well as his degree in Electronic Engineering.
Our internal & external sales staff along with accounts, stores and drivers makes up our staff of eleven.
We have over 10,000 stock lines held at South Street and delivery is normally within 24hrs by our transport, quicker in the case of urgency if need be.
Our company policy is to treat our customers the way we would like them to treat us and to assure that the customer receives what they wish, where and when required and at the most competitive market rates available. Service is our business!
