The Kartodrom – Elles is unique in Germany because it is equipped with a steep wall curve, an elevated railway and a tunnel.

Safety is a top priority at the Kartodrom – Elles. Each ride begins with a driver briefing and instruction of the drivers in the karts, the track and how to handle flags or light signals in case of danger or accidents. For safety, the track is equipped with tyre pads and plastic guide rails around the track. Each kart has an additional all-round bumper at the height of this plastic guide rail. The karts also have a mechanical thrust cut-off. Children’s karts are regulated at maximum speed.

The current lap record is 28.171 seconds. An average driver usually achieves a time between 31 and 34 seconds, with a track length of 385 metres.

Kevin Kohr himself and his staff take care of the track supervision and karts as well as the instruction of the drivers. He is supported by his “girls” who run the small bistro belonging to the track with a view of the kart track.

The karts, which run on benzene-free petrol, are repaired and maintained by Kevin Kohr himself in his own workshop under the kart facility.
