Cheese & Crackers is an old fashion Italian Deli and grocery store. We have a huge selection of Boar's Head Deli Meats, tons of specialty meats (*and not that Volpi mass produced stuff either - real artisanal meats and cheeses (like Fontina Val d'Aosta). More salami's from France, Germany and Italy than you can shake a stick at and more cheese than any two other stores in town put together. We're also the most awesome place in town to shop.
Who are we? Bart and Mindy Basi, long time residents of Urbana (Mindy was born at Carle Hospital). We live and work in Champaign-Urbana, we spend our money here with local merchants. We buy local, and live local. And we work really hard to also have the best prices in town.
How do we support our local community - by donating our food, our time and our money to every high school group, theatre project, and sports team we can - as well as the CU Symphony, Krannert and more local folks than we could list here if we had the time.
So your dollars spent with us are well spent, fantastic food, a local community focused business with workers paid a living wage, not mimimum wage and best of all we source new amazing products each and every month.
