Coinfloor is the UK’s No. 1 Bitcoin exchange. Founded with a focus on trust, security and reliability, our goal has always been to create a safe and accessible place to trade and invest in bitcoins. Coinfloor’s history goes back to 2012 when we experienced first hand the challenges of buying, selling and trading bitcoins in the UK, and wanted to build a business that solved this problem.

Coinfloor’s team is passionate about Bitcoin. The promise of Bitcoin as an asset and money system is something that brings us all together. Our team has worked together at multiple businesses over the last 10 years. Obi Nwosu (Managing Director) has over 20 years of experience building online marketplaces including QXL and WeeWorld, a service where tens of millions of users bought virtual items using a virtual currency. Mark Lamb (Commercial Director) was one of the UKs first bitcoin brokers, at one point personally handling over 10% of UK bitcoin volume. He is also on the Forbes 30 under 30 list for people in Finance.
Coinfloor Investors
Coinfloor has attracted funding from a top-tier early stage VC fund, Passion Capital, and Taavet Hinrikus, the co-founder of TransferWise and first employee of Skype. We also are backed by private investors including Adam Knight, the former MD of Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse’s commodities trading business. Adam also is the Chairman of Coinfloor’s board.
