After getting involved in bitcoin in late 2013, we noticed there was initially a real push by the crypto community to get vendors to start accepting bitcoin as a method of payment. Unfortunately, most major vendors did not want to take the risk associated with holding or even trading in BTC as a currency. The need from the crypto community to be able to use their Bitcoin and other altcoins as a currency, however, remained a real issue. Enter Coincards!
Coincards vision is to help users spend their bitcoins at all retailers, using those retailers existing Gift Card infrastructure.
The Bitcoin economy is a very rapidly growing network, which can be used as a store of value and as a currency. We feel the best way to grow that network is by using your bitcoin and other altcoins in everyday commerce. We strive to enable this by having the best selection of Gift Cards available for bitcoin. Ultimately we would like to show retailers that their customers are interested in spending bitcoin, hopefully increasing further adoption.
We dream of a world where bitcoin is a major currency used for all trade, at all retailers across the world and we are here to bridge that gap for our users.

I have purchased large value Home Depot gift cards multiple times with Coincards without any trouble buying or using them. Also successful with Lowe's and Safeway. A small value Amazon gift card was not accepted digitally by Amazon but, mysteriously, customer service went ahead... A small value Amazon gift card was not accepted digitally by Amazon but, mysteriously, customer service went ahead and credited my account manually for the value of the card. I suspect the problem is on Amazon's end but this strange hiccup was never explained so I just haven't tried it again.
