BitPocket is a mobile app for merchants who want to accept Bitcoin payments at the point of sale. Accepting electronic payments has never been easier. BitPocket is open source software and available as an app for Android and iOS.
As a merchant you deposit a Bitcoin address or alternatively a xpub key at the beginning. Your earnings will then be forwarded to this address. So BitPocket does not hold your Bitcoin and you keep full access via your Bitcoins.
When paying, you enter the amount in Euros, the app calculates the corresponding Bitcoin amount and then forwards the Bitcoins to your deposited wallet.
The Bitpocket solution is only suitable for receiving Bitcoin payments. Forwarding or sending is not necessary because the Bitcoin has already been forwarded to your own wallet in the background.
For example, you set up an Electrum wallet on your computer and then integrate the xPub key into the Bitpocket app. How to set up an Electrum Wallet and create the xPub Key, you can read at [Coincharge: Create xPub Key.]
This makes the BitPocket App very well suited for retail stores where several people or employees work at the checkout and should receive Bitcoin payments. The Wallet can be used to receive Bitcoin, but unwanted or incorrect sending by the Bitcoin credit employee is thus impossible.
