Slightly darker than pilsner malt, but not toasted as much as Munich malt, this grain will impart a dry, slightly toasted flavour. Use in small quantities in pale ales, up to a pound in Marzenbiers. Vienna style lagers derive most of their colour and flavour from this malt. Provides full maltiness and some colour, often with a nutty flavour. Used in European amber, golden and brown lagers as well as Marzen and Oktoberfest beers. Typical Beer Styles: Vienna Lager, Pilsner, Lager, Golden Ale, IPA, Single Malt Beers, Marzen, Oktoberfest, etc. Recommended Maximum Usage: Up to 100%
