The purpose of this trial was to highlight the potential benefits of Green Tea Extract or GTE on overweight or obese women, suffering from high levels of LDL Cholesterol.
73 subjects were used between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
Group A received GTE, Group B received Placebo
Each group took treatment for 6 weeks, at the end of 6 six weeks, Group B received GTE and Group A received Placebo for another six weeks.
At the end of six weeks, subjects treated with GTE had a reduction in LDL cholesterol levels and an increase in leptin levels.
