Secure Dragon LLC. was formed in October of 2010 in Largo, Florida by a small team who each contain specialized skill sets, knowledge, and experience to bring to the table. We've built this company on a strong platform by taking the enterprise level servers, placing them in highly redundant fortresses, raising the drawbridge, and we even have a dragon standing guard.

Our main focus is providing quality service. Above all we are a company that strives to be the best we can be, whether we are answering support tickets or conversing directly with a client, our goal is to maintain a level of professionalism while still providing a casual atmosphere. Respect and honesty are key values we hold dear. We always attempt to offer complete transparency and keep our clients informed of what is going on via an open line of communication. We do not make outlandish claims or offer unrealistic service levels and only provide what we truly feel is our best. All of our decisions are made in an attempt to benefit you the client.

Our Team
The 2 founding members of the team are Joe and Steve and here's a little bit about them...

Joe Dougherty (Chief Operating Officer)
Joe's experience and knowledge stems from his time at FreeWebHostingTalk, WebHostingTalk, his 9+ years working in a corporate IT data center, his 7+ years working in web hosting, and from his time at ITT Technical Institute where he graduated with his degree in Computer Network Systems. He has a large amount of experience in the web hosting field and has even written an eBook about it!

Steve Dougherty (Chief Brand Officer)
Steve has over 30 years of corporate IT and customer support experience which allows him the benefit of being able to work easily with clients regardless of their knowledge. He possesses the ability to see through the user's eyes which in turn helps us develop a better service for our clients. His unique marketing outlook is an asset in and of itself because it allows for us to build the trust and respect of our clients while maintaining a friendly and comfortable environment. His abundance of ideas has helped shape the vision of Secure Dragon and provides us with many options for the direction in which we can grow.

Our Infrastructure
Secure Dragon LLC. owns and maintains all of our own hardware, no renting or leasing here!

All of our servers are Dell enterprise servers with multiple Intel Xeon processors, a minimum of 16GB of RAM, multiple enterprise grade hard drives in RAID10 with a hardware RAID controller and battery backup unit, multiple gigabit NICs, and are constantly being monitored both internally and externally. Our OpenVZ nodes have custom build anti-abuse automated systems to prevent bad neighbors on our networks.

We currently colocate all of our hardware in 9 different data centers around the US and are constantly expanding. Our primary focus in a data center is good connectivity so we thoroughly test the network before bringing any servers live in each location. We've even setup a website just so you can test our networks before you order so you know what to expect. All of our IPs are owned by us and are issued directly from ARIN so we have full control over our IPs including rDNS and SWIP management. All of our non-DDOS protected locations have native IPv6 and our OpenVZ clients are assigned a dedicated /64 from our ARIN allocation.
